Karen Stolley, 511S Callaway Center Professor Stolley received her B.A. in Spanish and French from Middlebury College and she studied for a year under a Fulbright fellowship at the University of the Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. She later received a Ph.D. in Spanish from Yale University and taught at Vassar College before coming to Emory. Her research and teaching focuses on Latin American literature, with a specialty in colonial literature and culture. She is the author of El lazarillo de ciegos caminantes: un itinerario crítico (Ediciones del Norte) and has published articles in journals including the Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, Latin American Literary Review, and Revista de crítica literaria latinoamericana. She is currently writing a book on the domestication of colonial topics in 18th-century rewritings of earlier Latin American history.
