Professor Boigues was born in Salamanca, Spain and holds two licenciatura degrees in English and Spanish philology, as well as a certificate in pedagogy, from the University of Salamanca. In addition to his teaching duties at Emory, Professor Boigues also serves as the director of Emory's Summer Program in Spain. His fields of specialization include linguistics and foreign language pedagogy, the application of technology in language acquisition and "Euro shock" exploitation horror movies from the 1960s and 1970s.
